I grew up in South Arkansas, El Dorado, where water was no stranger. We lived in a slight depression in the land, and every time it rained, despite my fathers best efforts, water would find it's way into our house, mainly as vapor. I learned at an early age that water was the worst enemy to a house.
After graduating college from Washington University in St. Louis, I moved to Vermont and experienced water's destructive powers in another state, frozen. After waking up one morning to busted water pipes after a hard freeze, not knowing how to fix the problem or prevent it from happening again, I decided then to learn all I could about the mysteries our modern houses conceal.
I'm excited to use the knowledge I've gained over the years to make sure there are no mysteries in your next real estate purchase.
